So let's take a closer look at some of our key eaves ventilation and roof protection products.
Felt Support Trays The felt support tray is the most cost-effective, robust and simple way to provide a complete felt support system that will not deteriorate. Designed to prevent the degradation of felt and the secondary rotting of rafter timbers and roof structures. The PVC tray has three sections – the body that is laid under the felt underlay, a join, and a flap. The body is laid under the felt underlay but on top of the over fascia vent. The small flap at the bottom should be pointing down, dipping into the gutter.
Over Fascia Vents Over Fascia Vents have a low-profile design for minimum disruption to the eaves detail. Once installed, and almost undetectable, they still allow a continuous 10mm & 25mm air gap, when fitted on the top edge of the fascia board.
Eaves Comb Fillers Protecting your roof from moisture is important but at the same time, you need to stop birds and large insects from entering your roof void and causing damage. The Eaves Comb Filler, commonly known as a Bird Comb, is designed for use with concrete or clay profiled tiles. The comb filler is a flexible grill which fills the profile and creates a barrier against birds and large insects, preventing them from entering the void between the underside of the profiled tiles and the underlay on pitched roofs.
The '3 in 1' kit includes a fixed eaves tray with a 10mm fascia vent and a bird comb for use with profiled tiles as an all-in-one kit. The '2 in 1' does not have the bird comb as it's more commonly used with flat tiles or slates.
